The composition books and pencils will be used as a journal to record their goals, passions, research, and project ideas. The "Who Was?" books will provide biographies on others with gifted minds that changed the world we live in. Gifted students are curious about everything and are rarely granted time to pursue their interests in school. I've spent many hours this summer learning about "Passion Projects" also referred to as "Genius Hour". My students are actually going to design their own learning. Gifted students often find school boring and look forward to authentic learning opportunities. I can't wait for school!
