The materials for this project will give students opportunities to go beyond standardized testing prep and the prescribed pacing guides of their homeroom classrooms. These materials will feed the inquiry-based learning and hands on critical thinking skills that cannot be measured by generic achievement assessments. These materials will help to implement lessons that foster communication and collaboration through highly engaging and challenging opportunities. Building a STEAM lab takes time and money. We are already off to a great start and I hope to continue adding to the diverse materials we already have--and start to create a resource library for the classroom!
