My students need a new rug to provide a warm and inviting place to sit on the floor during group activities. In years past, I have tried to use tape to block off spots for my students, but the tape comes off and has to be replaced frequently. Students get distracted by others picking at and playing with the tape. A beautiful new rug would brighten our room and make it easier for students to find their spot. The individual rectangles will help them learn about personal space, too! Students will feel more independent and secure knowing they have a special spot.
