I want my students to come to school in a print-rich environment. I want them to love reading and want to be life long learners. These books are high interest books, which will help in my attempt to create a love of reading. I want my students to see why they are working so hard in class. They see places they can visit and begin planning their lives. There is few things more powerful than realizing if you work hard enough, you can accomplish your goals. It is great to hear students read about a place and realize they want to visit it someday. These books are a step in that direction for these dedicated students.
