This may be the first time some of the students have seen books or even read one. I would like to try to make sure they are reading on their level and know how to choose leveled books on their own. Most of the children have never stepped foot in the library, so I would like to expose them to all kinds of books in my own classroom library. These children need to be read to each day as well as reading to their parents or other family members. With these book sets, I am able to let the students check books out as well as use them in class.
