Orton-Gillingham is a multi-sensory, language-based, sequential, cumulative, cognitive, and flexible approach to teaching reading to my struggling readers. My students will greatly benefit from this curriculum because they will be able to use visual, auditory, and their tactile senses simultaneously to learn and practice language concepts. Finding Orton-Gillingham lessons suitable for my students is sometimes challenging, but these ready to go extensive bundle of multisensory activities, that I will purchase on Teachers Pay Teachers, will all be in one place ready to support literacy instruction and distance learning. Connecting these learning pathways is a critical component in teaching students to read and spell. In these Orton-Gillingham lessons, students additionally will be able to work on vocabulary, morphology, comprehension, and grammar. Implementation of this curriculum will be with students 1:1 and small group settings.
