Due to ever changing restrictions, lights must be kept on during all class periods. Class periods are 98 minutes long. This is an extremely long time for teenagers. I am choosing these light covers and patio lights because research shows that reducing the number of fluorescent lights in the classroom has shown to reduce behavioral issues. Also, these bright lights in the classrooms cause students to strain and cause headaches. I want my classroom to always feel welcoming and comfortable for the wide variety of children I serve. These covers will benefit more than one would think. It will provide a relaxing and calm atmosphere for them every day.

About my class
