Music is an academic language that is learned in different ways for different age groups. My younger students (K-2nd) love to sing and use their bodies to discover music, but my older students do not have this same love for song and dance. This is understandable, since they have not had music prior to this year, and have never been asked to sing or move in front of their peers before. Luckily, the music curriculum can be taught in a variety of ways; including the use of instruments. These ukuleles will allow my students to learn the curriculum faster and more in-depth than ever before. Students are always asking me when they will learn to play instruments, and I want to be able to give them the opportunity to perform at as young of an age as possible. These ukuleles will allow them to learn all of the fundamental concepts of music, melody, harmony, and rhythm, while having an absolute blast doing it.
