My students attend an IDEA school and gain experiences in both life and academia that surpass those of "typical" students. They attend school for 9 hours each day and work very hard. Many of my students are, at times, skeptical of the luxuries they could possibly attain in life because of their backgrounds and experiences. It is my goal as their band teacher to provide them with the luxury of music. Students here at our school become well-rounded individuals, with every student participating in a variety of classes and activities during the day and after school. Because of IDEA and because of YOU, many of these students who would not have had the chance to succeed will be going to college and beyond!
