I will be using our new books for guided reading and independent choice reading. Students will have access to lower level books, while maintaining high interest. My hope is to instill a love for reading in each child. It can often be difficult to find books that older elementary students find interesting when these same students struggle to read grade level material. This project will specifically help my struggling readers who do not enjoy reading because they will have access to a variety of books that they can actually read and enjoy. We will use these daily in the classroom. We will also be using them during student and teacher conferences.
