My student have a difficult time understanding land forms. We read about mountains and valleys, but this year I would like our learning to come alive with the creation of 3D models. Students will measure out their own salt and flour to create "clay." Then, they will use their clay to make a 3D model of a specific land form. When our clay is dry, we will use our new paints and brushes to color code our 3D project. My students love art, and they love to get messy. I know by incorporating art with math and science, they will create a memorable experience with land forms, and will be able to recall the information for their state test at the end of the school year. With your help, I will be able to create a fun project that will spark their learning!
