The Scholastic magazines will genereate a lot of motivationa nd excitement around reading! Every issue has fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama. The selections include episodes from American history, for example, sitting in during the Woolworth Lunch Counter Protest, was a drama that has been featured in the past. The students love reading, when they feel they are a part of history! Our class was moved this year to a room that has computers. I am so excited as we have not had any computers. But most of the mice are missing, and it's not in our budget to purchase more.
