My students love to fidget with their hands...to give them an educational learning experience to get them using their hands to discover cells would engage even my my most uncooperative students. They will love being able to build the DNA, plant and animal cell models and use the stationary cells to help identify organelles. These models will help meet the needs of my diverse classroom. My students will be able to see how organelles are suspended in cytoplasm, how the cell divides through mitosis and how DNA takes its double-helix shape. These are difficult concepts even for the most determined learners.
