Magnetic counting maze helps students with rote counting and one to one correspondence. We will use this maze during small group with building number recognition, practice counting and fine-tune motor skills with our fun magnetic maze! The sturdy hardwood board has 10 “gumball machines” representing numbers 1-10. Math teaches logic and order. You can expect a mathematical equation to have a predictable outcome, and precise steps must be followed in order to attain that result. The discipline of mind that children develop in math class can carry over into everyday life. These materials will make a difference in my students learning because manipulative are a great resource for student success. My students do not have these materials and it will be a great help for them to reach mastery for each standard. We must strive to provide a real-world context for the skills that they teach and must tell students the rationale behind the concept they are teaching.
