My school is implementing a new and engaging community-building curriculum (called Sanford Harmony) and we are very excited about it. However, the program requires that the students gather together (ideally in a circle) regularly and my classroom doesn’t really have an inviting place for our daily meetups. This rug would be perfect to place over our tiled area where I’d like them to gather. It will also double as an independent-reading area for them. In our state we have a “Move on When Reading” policy for third graders, which means they cannot move on to fourth grade unless they are proficient enough in reading.
