Every student in my classes will benefit from these whiteboards, but I will illustrate how it will help two particular students (names changed for privacy). Daniel is a smart 9th grader who is great at math. He loves to try new problems, but often goes ahead too fast on worksheets and starts making mistakes that I can't catch on time. With whiteboards, I can give him one problem at a time and make sure he's got the idea before he moves on. Destiny comes to class and tries hard every day, but physics is challenging! She wants to be a good student, so she often skips problems until I show the answer and then copies it down without understanding. With whiteboards, she will have to hold up her answer with the other students, so she will try the problem on her own - and I can help her when she's stuck!
