A rug will allow for a safe place to be, assigned seating for easy flow, and a different learning space to be on. Students will gather for whole group lessons, read-aloud a, and stations. It will also add warmth to my classroom and give a comfortable environment for students. It is necessary that we have rugs in front of the classroom as it is mentioned in classroom necessities. The rug is also bilingual which is great! It can teach students some Spanish words since it is a general education class. I do have some Spanish speaking students so this would be great for them.
