Visuals provide direction and decrease prompting from an adult, making work time more independent. Visual supports and manipulative help accommodate student needs as well as increase interest in academic activities and task completion. When using materials that provide visuals, student will be able to cut out tasks that interfere with persistence and completing tasks. These materials with be used in small group rotations during academic work times by all classroom. This will insure that all students are benefiting from the material. The materials requested will help my students gain academic knowledge though visual representation of learning materials. Magnetic sorting rods provide a routine where the students are able to apply their knowledge immediately without cutting and glue to distract from the academic task. Light up activity centers provide a visual cue to show student where the task should be completed. Positional word resource box promotes language while using prepositions. Mix and match animals help developers' fine motor skills as well as mastering independent tasks. Every item on our list has a great purpose in supporting my students needs.
