I am a resource specialist and support students from k - 5. My students who are in SPED are not being set up for success and are losing themselves in the gap within the achievement gap. They want to read. They just don't have access to interesting good books. They are curious and hungry for books and materials that will set them up for success. By beginning a classroom library we will start to check out books in class and progress towards monthly library field trips where my students will develop a love for reading.
