Headphones are often used in my classroom for blended learning. Students rotate to three stations that are prepared in advance for their learning needs and style. During this blended learning model students learn through technology by watching a video, reading or listening to an article or book and playing an educational game. As a result students are much more focused because they're are able to tune out distractions and learn at their own pace. During this pandemic, headphones can help students learn from home. My students are provided digital devices by the district to help them learn from home. However, headphones are not provided. Learning from home can be very distracting and noisy resulting in a lack of focus. Having headphones will allow students to tune out the background noise that can so easily distract them so they can focus more on online learning. The product that I have selected was made with kids in mind, therefore they are very durable. They have a built in mic and can be used to share audio between students. The plush ear pads and adjustable headband are comfortable for students to wear while working from home or school.
