Students will be engaged in differentiated instruction throughout the day. The interactive math centers from Lakeshore will be great tools to use in small groups to help my students master first grade foundational skills. These colorful, engaging centers will be used not only in teacher guided areas, but also independently to ensure mastery. The colorful Lego kit will serve multiple purposes in the classroom. Students will use them to complete STEM activities, as well as use them as manipulatives to solve math equations. Our school has scheduled a 30 minute daily recess block, which I love! When the weather is not cooperating and we have indoor recess, students will be able to use them to design innovative creations and play with their peers all while learning social skills and having fun!
