The Chromebooks are needed to help provide students with the opportunity to learn English and to further their education, as well as provide technology to students in our area who were greatly impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Because of Hurricane Harvey, students in our community had to endure the hardship of losing their homes and belongings, and many of our students were and still are displaced. Chromebooks will allow students to use certain Chromebook features and apps to learn the English language and to assist with translating into their native language. Chromebooks will also allow students to practice writing in the English language and to complete projects.
