Flexible seating options allow students to make choices in their learning! During independent work time, students can choose the seating that will help them be successful. Right now, my students choose a place to work in the classroom: such as at another table or sitting/laying on the floor with clipboards. Being able to provide comfy seating options will help motivate and encourage them to do their best! The products I have chosen will be options for them to use at their desk or around the room! There will also be options for them to use in the reading corner of our classroom. Allowing students to get comfy will help them stay engaged and interested in their books. I have also chosen some classroom materials such as fun manipulatives like Magna-tiles, Brain Flakes, and Unifix Cubes. These will be options for students to create with during choice time. I plan to use the Kerplunk game as a classroom behavior incentive! When our class is caught being kind, they will get to pull out a stick. When the marbles fall, our class will earn a fun reward for their kindness. I have seen so many successful classrooms that include comfy/flexible seating and options for students to build and create. With starting up my classroom, it can get overwhelming when wanting to provide everything for my students! I really appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness towards my students and our classroom. We will take good care of these items & be sure to have fun learning with them!
