My preschool class will be doing a unit study on insects. They will be learning about butterflies, bees, ants, and ladybugs. It would be good for them to be able to view them under the microscope. Seeing what they actually look like in a marble glass will help them understand more. They would be able to have hands on experiences without harming real insects. Viewing the life cycles of the insects teaches my students about their own life cycle as well as other living things. There are several different books that they would be able to read to learn more about the different insects. It would be fun to have a butterfly habitat. They would be able to view the life cycle of the butterfly in person.
