Our classroom library area has tile floor which is not ideal for students to sit and read. Having cushions to sit on along with a rug will allow students to get comfortable while they are reading in the library area. When students have to sit at their desks or on a tile floor, they are not able to relax and won't spend as much time on task and reading new books. Having a new cozy reading corner will be inviting to the students and encourage them to want to go and spend time reading. Our classroom reading corner will be important for group and independent reading time.
