These tablets will enhance the learning experience of my students in both literacy and mathematics centers. They will provide daily access to educational applications such as Moby Max, Lexia, Storylineonline.com, Speling City, Brain POP, Khan Academy, and Epic Unlimited Books for Kids. Having regular access to programs such as Lexia and Moby Max will provide scaffolded learning in content areas such as math, literacy, language arts, science, and social studies. Each student works independently at their own academic level building confidence in their abilities. These programs will also help reinforce concepts from whole group lessons as students work in centers. Most of my students are English Language learners and struggle to speak and understand English, let alone read in a new language. Programs such as Epic, and storyline online.net allow students to have books read to them as they follow along. Seeing the words and hearing them being spoken will help them better recognize and understand those words in the future.
