These Kindle Fires will give my students valuable hands-on technology experience while empowering them to practice reading independently. We will use them as a part of our daily rotations where my students work independently and rotate through literacy activities while I am facilitating the learning of a small reading group. They will afford 5 students the opportunity to practice reading e-books independently and also have e-books read to them. This is particularly valuable for my 7 students who are English Speakers of Other Languages. Several of my students receive speech and other services and will also benefit immensely from the practice on these Kindle Fires.
