STEM is always a highly anticipated activity in our class. The students learn so much from each other during STEM activities and they are all incredibly engaged. They constantly surprise me with their creativity and collaboration. These activities help to develop and enhance their critical thinking skills, problem-solving​ skills, and their ability to work with partners or in a group. These Fairy Tale STEM kits would be a great extension to use with our literacy and math block. The STEM journals would also make an excellent addition to our STEM time for them to record their ideas, designs, results, and reflection of how the activity went. The journals would add a great accountability piece to their work and would be something they could look back on and be proud of. I plan to implement these STEM journals and the Fairy Tale STEM kits as part of our weekly STEM time. I know my wonderful students would love to be able to have more STEM opportunities this year. They would be so excited to be able to extend our stories and make great connections with the text.
