All children learn in a different way. The more ways we can incorporate the more successful they will be. With the funding to purchase flexible seating for my students, I will be able to give them the opportunity to choose the learning environment that best suits their needs. Sitting in a chair for hours is hard for any age, but especially 10 year olds. They deserve the opportunity to learn in a different way. I have chosen bean bag chairs, wiggle stools, and a high bar top to help meet the needs of my students. This will allow them to collaborate with peers, in addition to being comfortable while they learn. They need something other than desks and chairs to make their learning environment more engaging and motivating. Our goal as educators is to help our students to be successful, and flexible seating is just one way we can aid in that process.
