This Real World STEM kit is exactly what my students need to become active 21st century learners. Faced with real life problems, students will work in groups to plan, design, create, and revise until they come up with a successful solution. Problems included in this kit are safely getting a family across a bridge, saving a town from a flash flood, and rescuing a bear stuck in a well. This kit engages students and encourages cooperative learning, problem solving, and critical thinking. This type of learning promotes a growth mindset and prepares students with skills that would benefit any future career.
