These books will have a dramatic effect on my students! As I am implementing balanced literacy into my classroom these books will allow my students to have choice in what they read. I want each student to have a love of reading which means I need a diverse collection. I want to individualize their literacy plans. Choice is important when it comes to reading, I want my students to be able to find books that 1. They can read. 2. They enjoy reading. Starting as a first year teacher this will help me ensure that all my students are able to find books they love.
