My ideal classroom is led by culturally responsive and academically rigorous lessons. Budget constraints have made it difficult to provide my students with proper technology and materials. This challenge was exacerbated by Hurricane Harvey. Many of our families were impacted by the storm and continue to suffer. They should be concerned about their learning rather than supplies. My students deserve a classroom full of materials to help them learn. This project will be the "starting line" for our year in social studies. One of the most important items is the printer, which allows for convenient in the classroom. This also allows me to help differentiate materials for students who need extra support by printing out translated material or accommodated work. Another important item is the document camera, which is a key component in helping students read and annotate texts.
