With COVID-19 and remote learning becoming our new reality, reaching my students and their families has been harder than ever before. Many students have broken or shared devices. Some students are trying to complete classwork on a phone. Some have no device at all. I am asking for donations towards providing students with laptops so they can complete their remote learning assignments. This will allow students to continue engaging in 21st century skills and keeping up with their schoolwork. Teaching a self-contained special education class means that I work collaboratively with many other service providers. A lack of technology not only means that my students are falling behind in their classroom studies, but they are unable to connect with their service providers as well.
