These materials will allow plenty of movement for my "Ants in their Pants" kids. The inherent need to move while learning is on the rise. The Wobble Chairs and the balance balls, used in place of stationery chairs, will allow my students brains to think about the material being taught rather than how restricted their bodies are feeling. The floor seats will give students the option of being able to work independently in a space of their choice with clipboards. This is just one more simple way that my kiddos can feel as though they are taking an active part in their learning environment. I will always strive to reach different learning styles and by donating items from my project list, you will be helping me do just that. Having had a gifted ADD child of my own, whose needs were never met, this is a goal that is near and dear to my heart every year. I never want a child to feel as though he, as himself, is not good enough or smart enough, because of something out of their control. By giving an active child the tools that enable movement of body, we will be fostering a more welcoming environment to all.
