It is important that students in Pre-K learn social skills to help them succeed in school. The light table will promote social development by providing sensory integration that helps promote social and emotional development through visual and sensory stimulation. Students will work with another student at the light table which will help enhance the skills of taking turns and working in group situations. The light table will be used for literacy and mathematics activities. The literacy activities will focus on identifying letters, naming letters, and writing letters. The math activities will focus on counting and matching objects to its numerical value. Some students engage in activities while standing other students prefer to sit down. The wobbly stool is for the students that want sit while working at the light table.
