The resources I am requesting will provide my students with a sense of choice in their learning environment which is empowering for the students and increases their desire to eagerly participate. Children need to move, and the stability stools, balls, and discs all allow movement while the students are learning without distracting peers. These will be especially helpful for my youngsters with ADD and ADHD who have a hard time sitting still. Also, the physical movement will increase oxygen flow to their brains which will help to keep them more alert and focused. Having more flexible seating in my classroom will also allow my students to choose the work area that is most comfortable for them, which will make it easier for them to remain attentive in class. In helping me to provide my students with this equipment, you will be helping to create a more collaborative community in my classroom because my students will have the freedom to move around and work with their peers with ease.
