My School is located in Springdale, Arkansas. Our current school population has a free/reduce lunch rate of 76% and an ELL population of 48%. Due to our population makeup many of our students lack exposure and vocabulary necessary to succeed in Science. They are eager to learn and need the opportunity to experience science in a meaningful way. I want my students to "BE" scientist rather than read about science. My goal is to acquire frogs for dissection for my students that are needed to meet our curriculum standards. These frogs will provide my students with meaningful hands on experience in the process of dissection to learn about the organs of animals. Having frogs will allow my students to gain a greater understanding of the organs of the body. Good science can only happen when students have the opportunity to use hands-on methods in their learning.
