The principal at our school always says, "The only constant in education is change." I remember when I attended school and we sat at desks and watched a teacher talk and write on a white board. Instruction has changed to now make things more hands on and have our students become active learners; however, this is made difficult by having a classroom straight out of the past. The donations I receive will allow my classroom to transform into a student centered room with flexible seating. This will help them feel professional and boosts their self-worth into a mindset where they can accomplish anything. When you are comfortable it is easier to focus and participate in the learning environment and this style of classroom will allow for this. I hope to create a classroom where collaboration is used to the progress of education of the students in my room.
