An important part of my students' education is the interactive learning that they do online. My school utilizes many different programs that have been proven to give students the best possible experience and prepare them adequately to perform well in the classroom. I want this part of their learning to be highly focused and I need their time to be used wisely. Part of that focus will come from eliminating distractions and using proper headphones for the audio portions of the programs. My students need headphones to eliminate distractions, increase their ability to focus on assigned tasks, and continue their mastery of reading, writing, and math. Many of my students are bilingual students who are seeking a mastery of their native language as well as English. These programs are preparing these students to be bilingual scholars with a desire to change their community. Completion of these programs has been shown to improve the academic performance of the students in multiple subjects. Headphones are a simple item but it will make all the difference to the student who doesn't have a set and can't listen very well without them. My students might be alright without these headphones but they WILL have a better chance to succeed once they have them. This project will have a real impact on the students in my class. They will do better because of it.
