If you ask most students what their favorite subject is, most will respond with "Recess!". My students work diligently throughout the day learning new concepts and skills. After spending hours in a classroom of four walls (no windows), they need a break to let loose and let go of some of the stress they might be feeling. We have a very small playground, so we rely heavily on equipment to entertain the students and motivate their movement. However, we don't have funds to spend on the equipment, so most of the time they are just walking around. I would love to be able to provide some fun and exciting games to make their short break each day a little more enjoyable. The cornhole boards, mini golf set, and scoop ball set will allow the students to practice character traits by encouraging their partner to do well, as well as, work on motor skills. The balls will be used to play many games, a favorite being kick ball. The stacking bins and mesh bags will be used to organize and store all of the items.
