My students require differentiated seating since each student has unique needs. Some students prefer to stand, sit on yoga balls, wobble stools, or on the floor, and some like traditional desks with modifications. My students need choices such as a wobble stool, stability ball chair, chair bands for their feet, along with a variety of fidgets to help to help them stay focused. When students feel more relaxed it lowers their anxiety which will be helped by using a floor lamp instead of harsh overhead lights. Giving students these options will empower them to take charge of their learning and help them feel comfortable in a stable environment.
