Books like Pink and Say, The Paperboy, Edwurd Fudwupper Fibbed Big, and other books will stimulate, remind and reinforce kindness both in the classroom and outside of the classroom. The books will be used in several grade levels (K-5) through the counselor's office during guidance periods. Included with the books will be learning activities, literacy and other activities. Students will be actively engaged in reading and activities which will promote lifelong social and emotional intelligence. These books will challenge children as well as teaching empathy, compassion and kindness. All activities that result from the reading of these books will be student centered, collaborative and develop skills including emotional, social and self awareness.
