In kindergarten, students need to be taught routines and procedures, even when it comes to where they place their belongings. Due to a lack of storage space in my classroom, it is important that I have a "home" for everything in my classroom. The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. I am requesting a binder storage center to be placed beside the entrance to my classroom door. Students will use this storage center as a tool to store their daily take home binders in each day. Through the use of this center, students will learn independence, responsibility, and organization. Students will learn routines and procedures and will learn how to be more independent. This will help students to become better learners.
