All of my students love learning stations. We use them daily for literacy, math, and intervention time. Have the right materials makes the time they spend at a station more meaningful and enjoyable. The balance seats will allow students to be comfortable while they read and to know where their space is at so they can focus on their book. The other supplies will be resources for students to tap into their creative side. Every child wants to discover! Learning stations allow students to learning by doing. They will inquire and practice the skills we are focusing on. In first grade, my students are learning to also use this time to become more independent and problem solve on their own. Stations are a perfect place for them to have guidelines to do this while still being independent.
