Students will enjoy writing on the white boards while I check for understanding. They can answer with quick yes and no's and show their work on the boards and write down answers on paper or vice versa. I use colored markers when I write notes on the board. This helps highlight the different steps and helps concepts stand out. I have 4-5 classes, so the white boards and erasers are enough for one class at a time, but I will need more markers to make sure all students have something to write with. Throughout the year, the markers are utilized and eventually dry out which upsets the students as it prevents them from writing their responses, and therefore participating.
