The supplies that I’m requesting are focused on bringing organization and interest to my students during ‘Daily 5’. The Daily 5 consists of 5 centers: Read to Self, Read to Someone, Listen to Reading, Word Work and Writing. Along with adding the Daily 5 into my routine, I will also get to enrich my students with books that they will get to talk about with their friends and encourage continuous reading! The children are able to choose where and what they would like to work on. First grade is such an exciting year for my students’. I want to provide my students the ability to have their own book bins for their personally-chosen, "just right" books! As well as personal writing binders so their work stays in one place.
