These books will be joined by supplemental articles and primary sources that help present other or alternative viewpoints on events that shaped America. Zinn's book will help students take a stance on their country and enable them to better understand the WHERE and the WHY of our country and its origins. Whether there is emphasis across the country or not, American history is critical in today's world, and just as important is a total and appreciated understanding of it.
