Using Osmo kits: the Genius Kit, Creative kit with Monster Game, Pizza Co. game, and the Coding Awbie game with my students will allow them to work individually on differentiated activities with self checking to help them grow in their 21st century skills. Use of technology at school sets the stage and keeps them engaged in their learning. My First grade students will benefit from using classroom iPads as hands-on tools in centers and small groups to reinforce math skills like number recognition and number sense, literacy skills like phonemic awareness, phonics and spelling. Spatial orientation, visual thinking and problem solving are skills that my students will practice while using Osmo.
