My classroom consist of 14 3rd grade students whom live within an urban run down community. The area surrounding my school is very poverty stricken resulting in a high crime, drug ridden and a high visual prostituted area. Due to its community origin the school and the students are highly impacted. All the students receive free reduced lunch and most are living below poverty level. Yet, as you walk into Ms Jones's classroom you see a 3rd grade classroom family including; six 9 year old girls and seven, 9 year old boys ready to learn regardless of their living conditions. These fun-loving motivated students are excited, curious and ready to attack any challenge. My students understand that hard work brings success and no excuses as to "I Cant", are tolerated. My students are my passion and they are our future therefore, I give them nothing but the best because they are the best and deserve the best.
