I am continuously differentiating instruction and activities for my students to make sure everyone in my class is receiving the necessary support to grow. One way I want to provide more differentiation is during our read to self center. Due to limited books available in my library for each students' reading level, my students do not have much choice in what they read during this station. The program Reading A-Z provides students with a wide variety of books that are appropriate for their current reading level. However, this requires the students to have access to technological devices. I am unfortunately limited on the devices in my classroom. Therefore, I believe the addition of the iPads will allow more of my students to have choice in the books they read, while also ensuring the books are at a level that is comprehensible and readable for each of my students. The iPads will also allow my students to engage in ABC mouse, which includes many differentiated literacy activities. All in all, the iPads will help support growth of each student at their individual skill level.
